Imperial Plus 5th generation tap water filter

The replacement cartridge of my filter came out white, unlike many acquaintances of mine who have your system, where it comes out dirty after one year of use. Why does this happen?

The issue of filter cleanliness after prolonged use is a frequent topic of discussion among users of water filtration systems. At Camelot®, our filters are designed to provide the highest quality water while maintaining the safety and health of our consumers.

🧪 Special Natural Membranes and Filter Operation

The replacement filter Imperial® It features multiple specialized natural membranes ranging from 0.1 to 0.4 microns, designed to retain solid particles such as rust, sludge, soil, and other suspended matter, according to their micron size. These membranes are essential for ensuring the purity of the water that reaches your glass. An additional indication of their effectiveness is that they act as the first line of defense before the water reaches the activated carbon, thereby increasing its lifespan and performance.

🏠 Pipe Quality and Material Composition

One factor that may explain why your filter remains white after a year of use is the quality and condition of the pipes in your home. If your pipes are made of plastic and are relatively new, they are less likely to release rust and other impurities into the water. This means that your filter doesn’t have to combat as many pollutants, resulting in a cleaner exterior. In older homes with iron pipes, external dirt is more common due to oxidation and corrosion of the metal.

🌿 Active Pharmaceutical Carbon

Although the external membranes of the filter may appear clean, most dangerous chemicals are colorless and therefore cannot be detected with the naked eye. This is where the role of the active pharmaceutical carbon contained inside the Imperial® filter comes in. The 850-gram active pharmaceutical carbon Imperial®, made from high-quality coconut, is extremely effective in removing all toxins from chemical compounds, such as chlorine, organic compounds, and other harmful chemicals that may be present in your water. This carbon is NSF/ANSI 42 and 53 certified, providing proof of its effectiveness in improving taste/odor and removing harmful contaminants.

📏 Carbon Quantity Comparison

In the Imperial® Plus filters, 850 grams of compressed active pharmaceutical carbon are used, while in the Imperial® Maximum this amount reaches 1200 grams. This quantity is significantly greater compared to competing filters on the market, which often contain only 30, 80, or 120 grams of activated carbon. This high level of concentration in Imperial® ensures that the filter can effectively remove harmful chemicals for a longer period of time and with greater capacity and efficiency. Thus, in just 6 seconds, you can have one liter of the purest water.

📌 Conclusion

The difference in the condition of your filter compared to that of your acquaintances may be due to many factors, such as the quality of the pipes that deliver water to your home, the quality of the water entering the filter, and the amount of impurities your filter retains. The fact that your filter looks clean does not mean that it is not working properly, that it is not removing harmful chemicals from your water, or that you can replace it later than the specified replacement date. On the contrary, it may simply mean that your water supply system is in better condition, allowing the filter to maintain its cleanliness on the outside.

However, the most important function of the filter is the removal of invisible harmful chemicals, and this is achieved through the high-quality and high-quantity active pharmaceutical carbon contained inside the Imperial®. Therefore, even if your filter looks clean, it is effectively doing its job and providing you with clean and safe water by retaining chemicals. The construction materials of Camelot® filters are designed to remain effective for a full year. After one year, according to the manufacturer’s specifications, the filter must be replaced with a new one. Preventive replacement, even if the filter appears clean, is essential to ensure continued absolute protection against chemical pollutants such as chlorine, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds.
